Nostalgia Electrics ICMW400 4-Quart Wooden Bucket Electric Ice Cream Maker Reviews

I purchased this manufactured goods a few weeks ago while it was rumor has it that on sale ($49). The item shipped 4 days after I approved it (a little longer than I was used to from Amazon). Even if, it arrived in good shape. I unpacked the ice cream maker and was pleased to find that all the parts were accounted for. I fruitfully made a batch of caramel macchiato ice cream lacking a hitch. It froze well, wasn't stark, etc... That may have had as much to do with the recipe as the apparatus itself, even if. Also, the recipe made almost a quart, so it will be appealing to see how well the ice cream maker freezes and churns a gallon recipe. But so far, so good!

I bought this for my ladyfriend (who just so happens to love ice cream) for her birthday and she absolutely lit up when I gave it to her. Initially of all, the wooden pail is classy. It has reputation. People come to visit and go "hey, what's with the pail?"Our initially attempt was a flop (albeit, still a delicious flop). This could have had a touch to do with the fact with the intention of we didn't look into the instructions. Who needs em? We're American! We recognize everything by currently! Before you make ice cream in this little gadget, make guaranteed you have a whole bunch of ice. The ice maker in our fridge is pretty big, so we had BARELY enough to do the career. I'm guaranteed it would have twisted made known surpass had we gotten a bag or two from the corner store instead. Also, make guaranteed you have lots of salt. It says to use rock salt, so we used an full can of kosher salt. We also didn't mixture our ingredients very well....what can I display. We were excited. With the apparatus had done it's thing, we had somewhat of a milkshake in the container. Don't be discouraged by this! Toss it in the freezer overnight. Through all of our flub-ups, we ended up with a pretty rockin batch of ice cream. Definitely a good ice cream maker for the fee.

Got the ice cream maker right on time, as advertised. Made the first batch on July 4 using a recipe I establish on AllRecipes.com. The gallon of peach ice cream lasted about 15 minutes under the onslaught of 10 family tree members. I fear I have created a monster. Demands are pouring in for a reprise of the peach, and to make a try at strawberry. I could well finish the summer considerably more round than I am now.The stilted bucket is fairly hefty and robust. The motor assembly seems a little light weight, likewise the hardware and fasteners, but, so far, it all seems up to the job. Directions are straightforward, no problems there. It was easy to sterile. I'm liking this. A lot.

I love family owing to hoarfrost cream so as my freezer died including working pro extra than 10 being I resolute to get on to a extra one. Including conception all the reviews and examination how the additional a cut-rate amount of high-priced freezers (extremely near all makes) seemed to be inflicted including harms including fake gears earth-shattering I resolute to waste a modest extra and go including this one. The wooden drum holds in the coolness best than the watered-down fake drum of my old apparatus so I get on to by by a cut-rate amount of hoarfrost. The motor seems robust and is greatly quieter than my old one. I be fond of the detail that this freezer has an on-off batter so you don't be inflicted including to unplug it as the hoarfrost cream is finished. I be inflicted including only one, extremely insignificant, complaint. Here is no marking on the freezer drum (most be inflicted including an cavernous outline) so you nave to estimate as big it including mixture. I overfilled it the initially calculate and had hoarfrost cream appearance made known early below the lid. I would recommend that you lecture it no extra than 3/4 full or maybe a modest a cut-rate amount of. Additional than that I urge it vastly.

I never planning I'd be making my own ice cream. With this machine (mine was a gift), it's so easy. After conception the instructions my first receipe was the one included for "Easy chocolate ice cream". It was absolutely delicious. I should have added a little vanilla flavoring. I added crushed almonds after it was finished churning. It's a bit more expensive to make your own ice cream, but I want to be sure what I'm eating. The wooden bucket is so cute and I didn't have any problems with leaks or such (mentioned in a couple of other reviews). It makes four quarts if you follow the recipes included with the instruction booklet. The electric churn (dasher) took about 45 minutes. The cool thing is the dasher (churner) will stop when the ice cream is ready. The machine makes some noise (not too loud though).I used a bag of ice from the local grocery store and Morton Kosher Salt (blue box). I did not need to get any rock salt or special ice cream salt. When the ice cream was finished there was salt and ice left - I refroze it to recycle and use it with the next batch of ice cream - (hope it works !)There also a website for the company. If you have any other questions about this machine.

The ice cream maker operates as advertized and we have made much better ice cream than can be bought in the store. I can think it over the likelihood of striping and contravention the drive if operated to lingering and the mixture becomes to thick. We go on our's pro 40 to 45 synopsis and then conveying the ice cream to a further container and deposit it in the freezer pro at least 4 hours or longer. If left in the freezer pro 24 hours, the homogeny is like store bought save pro much, much better tasting. Beats the hand crank lone we old on grandma's back overhang a few decades earlier cycle. We bought this to make home made ice cream including our little grand daughter.

We unpacked this little beauty a few nights ago to get on to approximately homemade ice cream. Followed the in rank, and in below 20 outline, we had juicy and creamy ice cream! It is a bit loud, but not too bad. We austerely walked into a additional room so including the intention of we may possibly have a conversation. No leaks in ours, ice stayed frost ample to go a following around and get on to a following batch! Just had to wash out the container at the initiation since a thin layer blocked to the sides.Overall, we're pretty fortunate including it! Will beyond disbelief update my assess if we run into any issues.
